Carlos Checa is a motorcycling world champion for the first time in his career as he seals the 2011 World Superbike Championship at Magny-Cours.

The Spaniard claimed the 13th victory of the season around the French circuit.

Ducati secure its first riders' title since Troy Bayliss won in 2008
